A Decade of Us

A decade. 10 years. How is that even possible?  It feels like yesterday or maybe more like three weeks ago.

Today we mark the 10 year anniversary of the day we vowed to God and each other, before our family and friends, that we promise to be a team, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, as long as we both shall live.

Today, as much as every day before, I'm blessed, honored, and lucky to be your wife, your best friend, your partner in navigating the road of parenthood and adulthood. To be the one who gets to fall asleep next to you, sharing adventures and creating this life.  There is no one else I'd want to want to Netflix and chill next to, walk the aisles of Target with, or stare out a windshield and admire the scenery alongside.  No one else I'd rather bicker with.

I love your kind, giving, loving heart, your patience, and your ability to work hard to do what needs to be done.

I wake up every day wanting to be a better, kinder, more loving wife and mother, to show you and our babies how much I love you and how lucky I am to have you.

In these ten years, we have built a life I love.  It hasn't mattered that we only knew each other six months. When you know, you know.  And I know that you will always be the one.

2016 has been our year of greatest change. Our year to trust that all those other times we were praying, learning, and growing for were leading up to this.  That we can do this...

Thank you for the last decade. Here is to the next and, God willing, many more to follow.
